Retrievo is a portal that allows you to locate and retrieve information scattered by distinct information sources. Retrievo constitutes a single point of entry to your world of data, where all relevant information assets are indexed for easy retrieval. Retrievo is able to find information in any data store you may have within the boundaries of your organisation, but also retrieves information form external sources (e.g. scientific databases).

Retrievo is the ideal product for research institutions. It comes preloaded with information from over 180 repositories ranked by the World Raking of Repositories. Collectively, it delivers over 5 million scientific articles allowing you to find and retrieve information by its high quality metadata or by the contents of the documents themselves.

Distinct information sources that speak to each other

In order to locate information faster, Retrievo preloads information from its original sources using an array of well-established standards (e.g. OAI-PMH, Z39.50, SRU). Using custom made connectors we are able to search in many other sources and gateways (e.g. EBSCO, ABI, ProQuest, etc.).

Quality control at the heart of the system

To ensure the quality of the indexed information, Retrievo is delivered with a quality assurance module that validates all information during the caching process. The quality assurance rules are set by the manager of the service allowing the system to cope with a large variety of organizational contexts.

Effective management of your information assets

Retrievo provides the manager a large set of statistics and management reports that reflect the status of the system. Among these you may find growth statistics of the overall system as well as per information source, know the total number of records per source, the most popular records or databases, quality assurance reports, etc.
